Before departure you may wish to explore this cultural gateway to the fjords by wandering the cobblestone alleyways, visiting the fish markets or ride the funicular up Mt Floyen for magnificent views over the city. This evening as the ship sets sail, enjoy a tasty dinner based on the best ingredients from the coast. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing as you take in the spectacular landscapes, either from deck or in the panorama lounges.

In the afternoon the ship heads out of the fjord into a teeming archipelago and towards northern Norway.

DAY 4 BRØNNØYSUND – LOFOTEN ISLANDS

On this stretch, we mark that you cross the Arctic Circle and travel into the Arctic realm. That means summer with the midnight sun, while winter has night-black days – and evenings with the northern lights. Nature here is powerful with Northern Scandinavia’s largest glacier, the world’s strongest tidal current and encounters with the majesty of the air; the sea eagle. In the evening Lofoten awaits with fishing villages, steep mountains and Vikings.

DAY 5 STOKMARKNES – TROMSO – SKJERVØY

The voyage continues through narrow fjords and wild mountains to Tromsø, a city characterised by fishing culture, polar expeditions and daring. It is also the land of the Sami, Norway’s indigenous people and blends with its modern status of the Paris of the North. Tromso has a range of restaurants and shopping, along with many natural and cultural attractions.

DAY 6 HAMMERFEST – HONNINGSVAG – BERLEVAG

After brief early stops in Hammerfest and Havøysund you will arrive in Honningsvåg, the gateway to the spectacular North Cape.
